Receptionist – Part Time (Filled)

• Thursday & Friday (8.30 – 4.30)

Supporting and coordinating the work throughout the various regions within Australia of a worldwide organisation involved in Education, this role will see the Receptionist/Admin Assistant involved in a wide variety of very interesting tasks.
Situated at the front desk within a new state of the art office complex in Mascot, the Receptionist/Admin Assistant will be responsible for a multi-faceted role with a lot of variety and interests.

Main responsibilities include;

• Provide efficient reception services including answering phones and redirecting calls as appropriate
• Provide a friendly and welcoming environment to all Province visitors
• Respond to security access system ensuring visitors are identified & given access
• Responsible for ensuring the reception area is always presented in the best possible way
• Sort and distribute mail collecting items in readiness for daily pick-up
• Organise couriers, ordering and maintaining stationery and kitchen supplies
• Organise catering and meeting room set-up for in-house programs and events
• Formulate correspondence for mail outs
• Assist in the preparation of Office Planning Days
• File management through creation and maintenance of an efficient filing system for efficient storage of documents
• Responsible for monitoring booking schedules for meeting rooms

The successful person will possess;

• An understanding of & commitment to the Mission of the Marist Brothers
• An understanding & knowledge of telephone systems
• Previous experience within a people centred reception role
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent telephone manner and good interpersonal skills
• An ability to act confidentially and with discretion
• Sound typing & Microsoft Office skills (an interest in using InDesign would be advantageous)
