McCormack’s professional yet personal approach is driven by Founder and Director Cheryl McCormack, who possesses over 20 years of recruitment and human resource management experience.
In 1998 McCormack Recruitment was established, specialising in the core area of Office Administration and Finance expanding to 4 branches through the metropolitan area of Sydney by the year 2000. In 2001 the business underwent a change in structure centralising to one location in Burwood Sydney culminating in what is now known as McCormack Employment Services.
As the business developed it became evident that the style of recruitment provided by McCormacks was very much aligned with and greatly favoured by nonprofit organisations, those permitted to generate surplus revenues which are retained by the organisation for its self-preservation, expansion, or plans.
Prior to recruitment, Cheryl was accepted into a Graduate Management course with a major retail chain in South Australia.
Leaving pianoforte studies at the Adelaide Conservatorium of Music to pursue her desire for business proved a viable decision. Cheryl was promoted into a Management role achieving the then exciting accolade of “Youngest appointed Sales Manager” in the 100 plus year history of that organisation, responsible for leading and directing over 100 retail staff with a multi-million dollar annual turnover.
Turning her interests from retail to human resources having attained a Bachelors Degree in Management & Human Resources, Cheryl secured the position of South Australian State Manager with AdiaCentacom now known as Adecco.
Two years later a transfer to New South Wales saw Cheryl take up the challenge of heading up multiple branch operations as a member of the Senior Management team.
Moving onto post graduate studies Cheryl completed a qualification in Total Quality Management through Wollongong University whilst simultaneously being awarded ‘Top Student Australasia’ 1994 in a 12 month recruitment consulting industry course.
Recently completing graduate studies in Psychology via distance education through Charles Sturt University, Cheryl will soon be offering additional services to client organisations in the form of Psychological Assessments.
